SUMMARY
We are looking for a horse that is aged 3 to 6, priced at 20/1 or less, that has won over 7 furlongs before which is preferably rated 112 or more and which ran at Goodwood last time out. Also look closely at John Gosden, Charlie Hills & Saeed Bin Suroor trained horses
Newmarket | Dubai Dewhurst Stakes (Group 1) (Entire Colts & Fillies) Cl1 7f CH4 |
DEWHURST
ODDS
As there is normally a short priced hot pot in this race when there is a shock it is generally a big one so don’t be afraid to back a big priced horse in this race. Backing all 34 runners with an SP of 20/1 to 33/1 would have resulted in a profit of +£128.00
FAVOURITES
Despite the above favourites have a decent record with 6 winning for a small loss of -£1.65
TRAINER
6 winners were trained in Ireland from 35 runners with a further 9 placed
8 winners were trained in the UK from 107 runners
Jim Bolger has won the race 4 times from just 7 runners
Aiden O’Brien has won the race twice from 29 runners with another 9 placed
LAST RACE
5 winners last raced at the Curragh from 28 runners with a further 6 placed
OTHER FACTORS
12/14 had raced at the distance
SUMMARY
Not a great deal of facts above but the ones that are there are, I thin, quite significant. We should be concentrating on Irish trained horses and I think it is an opportunity to back the outsiders and also as the favourites have a reasonable record have a saver on the favourite.

The big field makes this tricky but we are looking for a horse that ran over at least 1 mile 6 furlongs at odds of 12/1 or less in a Class 1-4 race last time, even better if that race was at Chester or Newcastle. In the race itself it we want to be carrying 9 stone 8lbs or less and have odds of 20/1 or less.
