TV raced trends for Saturday 27.4.2013

3:15 SAN bet365 Gordon Richards Stakes (Group 3) Cl1 1m2f7y CH4

GORDON RICHARDS STAKES

ODDS
15/16 priced 8/1 or less

16/16 from the first 5 in the betting

FAVOURITE

5 winning favourites for a loss of -£2.45

TRAINERS
Sir Michael Stoute and John Gosden have had 6 winners between them, 4 for Sir Michael from 15 runners and 2 for John G from just 5 runners

WEIGHT/OR

15/16 won by the top rated or those rated within 10 of the top rated

LAST RACE

12/16 started at 4/1 or less

12/16 raced between 1m 2f to 1m 4f

OTHER FACTORS

16/16 had either run once or not at all in the last 90 days

12/16 had won at the distance before

SUMMARY

Should be looking for one that is priced 8/1 or less and is either top rated of within 10lbs of being so and that has run no more than once in the last 90 days.  Also preferably on its last race was priced 4/1 or less and ran over 1m 2f to 1m 4f and has also won at least once over today’s distance.  If after you have narrowed it down the horse is trained by Sir Michael Stoute or John Gosden all the better.

Ektihaam

Al kazeem

Thomas Chippendale

3:50 SAN bet365 Gold Cup Chase (Handicap) Grade 3 Cl1 3m5f110y CH4

SANDOWN GOLD CUP CHASE

ODDS
Various with a large range of 6/1 to 25/1

FAVOURTITES

1 winning favourite for a loss of -£14.00

TRAINER

Phillip Hobbs has had 19 runners and had 2 winners with another 8 placed

AGE

16/16 aged 11 or less.  As well as the 12+ aged ones, for some reason 9 and 10 yr olds struggle too producing only 3 winners from 127 runners compared to 6,7,8 & 11 which have provided 13 winners from 138 runners.  7 & 8 yr olds providing the most winners

WEIGHT/OR

Only last years winner Tidal Bay has carried more than 11st 5lbs to victory

13/16 carried 10st 13lbs or less

16/16 rated 154 or less

LAST RACE

16/16 ran in the last 60 days

16/16 raced at Aintree, Ayr, Cheltenham. Chepstow, Fairyhouse or Naas

15/16 ran over at least 3 miles

10/16 ran in a Grade race.  Those that ran in a Grade 1 race do well with 4 winners from 20 runners

SUMMARY

Some good last race stats here with horses running within the last 60 days at Aintree, Ayr, Cheltenham. Chepstow, Fairyhouse or Naas last time out providing all the winners and those that ran over at least 3 miles 15 of them.  We also need to be rated 154 or less and despite Tidal bays win last year I’d be looking at those with 11 stone or less and aged 7 or 8.
