3:35 WAR Betfred Classic Chase (Handicap) (Grade 3) Cl1 3m5f CH4

WARWICK CLASSIC CHASE

ODDS
Various from between 9/2 to 40/1, all 10 runners priced 4/1 or less have lost, hence only one wining favourite for a loss of -£6.50

WEIGHT/OR

9/11 won by those carrying 11-24lbs less than the top weight from 76 runners

2/11 from 37 runners for those at the top of the weights and 0/11 from 30 runners for those 25lbs or more lighter than the top weight

LAST RACE

10/11 finished it the first 3 or failed to complete

3 winners ran at Cheltenham from 25 runners with another 6 placed

3 winners ran at Newbury from 12 runners with another 1 placed

But only 1 winner last ran at Chepstow from 36 runners though another 7 were placed.  The only winner Hey Big Spender was pulled up suggesting the course takes its toll on those finishing

OTHER FACTORS

(GB) Bred runners have produced only 1 winner from 27 runners compared to (IRE) 8/84 & (FR) 2/30

11/11 had finished in the first three in at least one of their last 3 races

10/11 had won at least 2 Chase races

SUMMARY

Not the greatest for nailed on trends but the place start is a Top 3 finish in the last 3 races who has won at least 2 chases. I would also prefer a top 3 finish or failed to complete last time out and I would also be avoiding (GB) horses and those that ran and completed a last time out race at Chepstow
