1:50

NWM Dubai Challenge Stakes (Group 2) Cl1 7f CH4

CHALLENGE STAKES

ODDS

14/14 priced at 20/1 or less

FAVOURITES

3 winning favs for a loss of -£0.37

The 2nd favourite has won 5 times producing a profit of +£10.50

TRAINER

Barry Hills has won the race 4 times from 15 runners with another 2 placed, so looked out for his son’s Charlie’s runners

John Gosden has won the race twice from 12 runners with another 2 placed

Saeed Bin Suroor has won the race twice from 17 runners with another 5 placed

AGE

14/14 aged 3 to 6

WEIGHT/OR

11/14 rated 112 or more

LAST RACE

11/14 ran in a Group race

10/14 finished in the 1st 3

7 winners from 35 runners last raced at Goodwood with another 7 placed

All 10 runners that last raced in a Handicap lost

OTHER FACTORS

14/14 had won at the distance

Irish bred have produced only 1 winner from 56 runners

SUMMARY

We are looking for a horse that is aged 3 to 6, priced at 20/1 or less, that has won over 7 furlongs before  which is preferably rated 112 or more and which ran at Goodwood last time out.  Also look closely at John Gosden, Charlie Hills & Saeed Bin Suroor trained horses

2:55

Newmarket Dubai Dewhurst Stakes (Group 1) (Entire Colts & Fillies) Cl1 7f CH4

DEWHURST

ODDS

As there is normally a short priced hot pot in this race when there is a shock it is generally a big one so don’t be afraid to back a big priced horse in this race.  Backing all 34 runners with an SP of 20/1 to 33/1 would have resulted in a profit of +£128.00
FAVOURITES

Despite the above favourites have a decent record with 6 winning for a small loss of -£1.65

TRAINER

6 winners were trained in Ireland from 35 runners with a further 9 placed

8 winners were trained in the UK from 107 runners

Jim Bolger has won the race 4 times from just 7 runners

Aiden O’Brien has won the race twice from 29 runners with another 9 placed

LAST RACE

5 winners last raced at the Curragh from 28 runners with a further 6 placed

OTHER FACTORS

12/14 had raced at the distance

SUMMARY

Not a great deal of facts above but the ones that are there are, I thin, quite significant.  We should be concentrating on Irish trained horses and I think it is an opportunity to back the outsiders and also as the favourites have a reasonable record have a saver on the favourite.

3:10

York coral.co.uk Rockingham Stakes (Listed Race) Cl1 6f CH4

ROCKINGHAM

ODDS

9/12 priced 6/1 or less

TRAINERS

No trends here

LAST RACE

12/12 raced either over 6f or 7f

3 winners last raced at Redcar from 10 runners

2 winners last raced at Goodwood from just 2 runners

2 winners last raced at Newbury from 11 runners with another 3 placed

5 winners from just 24 runners raced within the last 10 days

OTHER FACTORS
12/12 had finished in the first 2 in at least one of their last 3 races

10/12 had won at the distance

SUMMARY

We should be looking towards the top of the market here, for a horse that has won at the distance and last raced over 6 to 7f preferably within the last 10 days

3:35

Newmarket Betfred Cesarewitch (Heritage Handicap) Cl2 2m2f CH4

CESAREWITCH

ODDS

12/14 priced 20/1 or less.  There have been 293 runners at 22/1 or more producing just 2 winners
FAVOURITES

Just 2 winning favourites for a loss of -£5.00
TRAINER
Sir Mark Prescott has had 15 runners and has had no winners or placed horses

Brian Ellison has had 11 runners and has had no winners or placed horses

WEIGHT/OR

All winners carried 9st 8lbs or less
LAST RACE

14/14 started at an SP of 12/1 or less

14/14 raced over 1m 6f or further

0/14 raced in a Class 5 or 6 race from 29 runners

3 winners from 15 runners last raced at Chester with another one placed

2 winners last raced at Newcastle from 9 runners with another 1 placed

0 winners from 32 runners came from Goodwood and none placed either
OTHER FACTORS

14/14 finished in the top 5 in at least 1 of their last 3 cases
14/14 had won at least twice in their careers AND had won or placed at least 4 times

SUMMARY

The big field makes this tricky but we are looking for a horse that ran over at least 1 mile 6 furlongs at odds of 12/1 or less in a Class 1-4 race last time, even better if that race was at Chester or Newcastle.  In the race itself it we want to be carrying 9 stone 8lbs or less and have odds of 20/1 or less.

SELECTION: Cry For The Moon @ 33`1 bet this horse splitting 1 point i.e. – 0.5 win 0.5  to place
