1. Horse form

As before, hovering your mouse cursor over each horse brings up their statistics. Including brief info on: Trainer, jockey, weight, age, recent form and if they’re wearing any special headgear.

2. Timeform 123

Moving down. We have the Timeform 123, and the time form view. Basically their betting forecast, and an assessment of the key horse`s chances based on how they performed in previous races.

3. Timeform “In play hints”

These are relatively new and something we definitely suggest you pay careful attention to. Because they can provide useful insights for trading a no lose position on a particular horse or, horses. Obviously, we would need to see a fairly positive price movement before considering opening any kind of trade .

For example, in this race time form state – “Oh So Fruity – has traded at 50% or less of betfair SP three times on its last four starts: Tara Bridge has traded at 50% or less of   BSP twice on his last two starts.”

Both these horses have decent odds, which could potentially drop much lower in play providing they race prominently. To establish the likelihood of this happening, it’s worth checking out those previous races, and comparing : distance, class, opposition and race type to today’s contest.

If conditions are similar, then it’s a race potentially worthy of trade.

It’s worth noting that not all races are suitable for trades, even when time form suggest likely price movements.

Setting up the trade

As a rule of thumb, you should be looking for strong trends where a horse price has dropped by 30 to 50%,  in 50% or more of its races.

Then, place a back Bet for small stakes obtaining the best odds you can get. It’s better to wait, to just before the off, to protect yourself from the odds shortening.

Then,  set up your corresponding Lay bet odds for 50% lower and double your stake.

Do not forget to tick “keep bets in play” box when submitting the bet. This will ensure if the horse runs well and the odds are reached,  your bet will be matched.
