GRAND NATIONAL

ODDS
As you would expect various odds though 11/16 from the 1st eight in the market

FAVOURITES

4 winning favourites for a profit of £8.00

AGE

14/16 aged 9 to 11

TRAINERS

Not a great deal to go on but Evan Williams, Ted Walsh and Jonjo O’Neill have a good place strike rate

WEIGHT/OR

16-16 rated 136 to 157, though the last 4 rated 149 and above, with all carrying 11 stone or more.  The last horse to carry 10st  or less to victory was Bindaree in 2002.

0/16 from the top 3 in the weights

LAST RACE

16/16 ran in the last 60 days

0/16 ran in a Grade 1 or 2 race and there has been 110 runners that have tried

13/16 finished in the 1st five or fell

OTHER FACTORS
16/16 had finished in the top 3 in at least 1 of their last 3 races

SUMMARY

As you would expect a wide open race but one where I would be looking for horse that did not run a Grade 1 or 2 race last time out, that has finished in the first 3 in at least one of it’s last 3 starts  and has raced at least once in the last 60 days and is aged 9 to 11.  That might get you down to about 10 to choose from so from there I would also exclude any horse from the top 3 in the weights.

Basically as always a very tough race to pick the outright winner in. The following runners should go well, and we think the winner may come from this group of horses, so consider each way bets on a few of these or even a DUTCH bet across them all if the odds permit at least a 45% profit if any wins….BUT REMEMBER THIS IS THE TOUGHEST RACE IN THE WORLD so keep stakes low in a once a YEAR FUN WAGER!!!!!
