14/14 from the 1st four in the betting market

12/14 priced at 6/1 or less

FAVOURITE

6 winning favourites for a profit +£1.37

TRAINER

Philip Hobbs has won the race 3 times from just 5 runners with another 1 placed

Nigel Twiston-Davies has won the race twice from 9 runners with a further 3 placed but has no runners today

Alan King has had 9 runners but has yet to have a winner, 3 have been placed however.

LAST RACE
3 winners last raced at Aintree from 18 runners with a further 6 placed so 50% place strike rate

3 winners last raced at Aintree from 18 runners with a further 3 placed so 33% place strike rate

10/14 raced in a non handicap race from 51 runners whereas only 4 winners came from handicaps from 49 runners

6 winners last raced in a Grade 1 contest from 27 runners with a further 5 placed (41% place SR)

OTHER FACTORS

14/14 had won at least 1 hurdle race

SUMMARY

Our first point of call is to look at the top 4 in the betting.  I would then be looking closely at horses that last raced in a Grade 1 contest that have won at least 1 hurdle race

Crack Away Jack was for me e/w But i under stand that its after the time now.

    Went for War Singer AND Claret Cloak – 03 Nov 2012 14:35 – Ascot, 2m 0f 0y
    Trainer: Miss E C Lavelle
    Jockey: S Twiston-Davies
    Form figures: 12511-
    Age: 5
    Country: IRE
Past Form: He has won two hurdle races and a NH flat race at 2m on good and good to soft ground. Won on his latest outing in a hurdle race when 5-6fav at Newbury over 2m (good) in March, beating North Cape by 2 1/2l.
Your comments: This 5yo will build into his frame for what will hopefully prove to be a fruitful campaign over the larger obstacles. The Vinnie Roe gelding made his hurdling debut when the yard were under a bit of a cloud but still ran respectively enough in 5th. He then followed that up with 2 victories and the yard were quick enough to put him away after the 2nd of those at Newbury with a view very much to the future. He is a smooth traveller who should benefit both for a switch to chasing and indeed a step up in trip. If for some reason they were to keep him over timber then his mark of 133 looks workable.( up date needed)
